Admind agency is organizing a webinar titled “Inclusive design: designing for deaf people helps everyone”. During the meeting, talented interpreter Marie van Driessche will tell us how to design keeping the hearing impaired in mind and how it will have a positive impact on the UX of a website.
Today, in the creative industry, it’s a good and necessary standard to design with the spirit of UX, which takes into account the expectations of users and their full path on the website or in the application. Both designers and companies approach this subject much more consciously than just a few years ago. With this knowledge and experience, we are able to guide the user through the most relevant sections and encourage them to a given reaction (more about this in our Admind webinar on designing for deaf people).
However, there are people whose needs and conditions we take into account not so often–deaf people or with hearing disabilities. According to a WHO report, there are more than 360 million such people in the world. They represent a powerful group that is somehow excluded by limited access to much multimedia content on the web.
Webinar about Inclusive Design
This fact has prompted the Admind Branding & Communications to address the topic of inclusive designing for deaf people. The branding experts are organising a #Admind_webinar that will feature Marie Van Driessche. She is a talented interaction designer from the Netherlands who knows the subject inside out. She has been promoting a change of approach in inclusive design for several years. Always keeping the needs of deaf people in mind.
Marie will also talk about the challenges that occur for deaf people while designing and the role of a well-thought-out UX approach to design. Webinar attendees can expect a lot of practical tips for designers.
