In our Creative Inspirations series, Admind’s employees discuss what inspires them in their everyday life. This time it’s our Head of Delivery, Aleksandra Gołąb-Makowska.
Since I remember I was always afraid of three things, two of them being: new experiences and deep space. It’s not a joke. Being a seven-year-old with anxiety about new food or making new friends is hard enough. The fact that our planet spins around with a crazy speed in the infinite, black nonentity didn’t make me feel better. Technically speaking, we are constantly in the cosmos, meaning that 24 hours per day I was out of my comfort zone. The only thing I could do to stay sane was embracing those fears and enjoy the ride. And so I did.
Different types of experiments have become an inseparable part of my life and step by step I discovered that they are a great source of inspiration and fun. Regardless of whether these were scientific experiments in the lab or a simple DIY, I was always up to new things (and if you ask the right person, you may get some photos of my blonde-gray or red or black or boy-short hair). Now whenever I have the opportunity to try something new, I almost never hesitate #adventure. It helps me see things in a different light and seek new solutions.
Getting back to space (although we never actually left), on a bold journey “where no man has gone before” I was taken by books and movies. And that’s how I fell in love with sci-fi, although it’s not always connected with spaceships. Below, you’ll find some of my all-time favorite sci-fi movies.

I’m not that huge nerd though, and I could talk about movies and books in general for hours, so let me know in the comments if you have seen/read anything interesting lately. What I can surely recommend now is our culture book.
The passion and inspiration that was all along with me during that weird journey, was music. I’m always in the mood for listening, playing or signing, although I’m not significantly good at any of those things.
