As Pride Month drew to a close, we reflected on a series of events that underscored our agency’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement. This June, our teams came together, fostering a spirit of understanding and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Here’s a look back at some of the standout moments and initiatives that made this Pride Month truly special.
Team Integration and Community Engagement
One of the key highlights of our Pride Month activities was the integration of our teams through visits to LGBTQ+ friendly venues. These events were more than just social gatherings; they were opportunities for our team members to support local businesses that champion inclusivity and equality. By choosing these venues, we not only enjoyed great food and company but also contributed to spaces that provide a safe and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community.
Mastering Etiquette with People with Disabilities: A Webinar with Angelika Chrapkiewicz-Gądek
Our commitment to inclusivity extends beyond sexual orientation and gender identity. On June 18th, we hosted an insightful webinar titled “Mastering Etiquette with People with Disabilities,” presented by Angelika Chrapkiewicz-Gądek. This session provided our employees with valuable knowledge on how to interact respectfully and thoughtfully with individuals with disabilities. Angelika’s expertise and engaging presentation style helped demystify many aspects of disability etiquette, fostering a more inclusive and empathetic workplace culture.
FilmON Festival: Celebrating Art and Diversity
We were proud to co-organize the 8th edition of the FilmON Festival, a celebration of cinematic art that also serves as a platform for diverse voices. The primary objective of the Festival is to encourage people with disabilities to express their emotions through film, while also encouraging their caregivers to utilize this medium in therapy. The Festival serves as a platform for filmmakers with disabilities to showcase their work to a wider audience, breaking down societal barriers and raising awareness about disabilities – intellectual and physical. Since 2019, we have been supporting the organisers by preparing and implementing the visual identity, creating marketing materials and taking care of the visual communication. With each edition, we develop our collaboration in new areas, making the festival bigger, attracting more films and increasing its professionalism. This year we also hosted filmmaking workshops. This year, we were honoured to have one of Poland’s most renowned actresses, Katarzyna Figura, join us as a jury member. Her presence added a touch of glamour and credibility to the festival. The event was a resounding success, showcasing films that explore a wide range of human experiences and perspectives, further reinforcing our agency’s commitment to supporting the arts and promoting diversity.
Internal Webinar: Let’s Talk About… PRIDE
In an effort to deepen our internal understanding and support for the LGBTQ+ community, we hosted an internal webinar titled “Let’s Talk About… PRIDE.” This session was designed to educate our employees on inclusive communication practices and the importance of creating a supportive environment for all. The webinar covered a variety of topics, including the use of inclusive language, understanding the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, and practical ways to be an ally. The interactive format allowed for open discussions and personal reflections, making it a powerful tool for fostering empathy and awareness within our agency.
As we reflect on this year’s Pride Month successes, we are already looking forward to continuing these efforts throughout the year. Our dedication to inclusivity and community engagement is not confined to a single month. We believe that fostering an inclusive environment is an ongoing process that requires continuous learning, empathy, and action.
We are grateful to all our employees, partners, and the wider community for participating in these events and making Pride Month a meaningful and memorable experience. Together, we will continue to champion diversity, celebrate our differences, and create a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
The author of this year’s Pride Month poster is Jędrzej Chojnacki. He used a strong graphic metaphor. The scribbles you saw on the poster seemed uncanny but are commonly known by a more familiar name – it’s the butterfly effect, more precisely, a Lorenz conjecture.
This is what it looks like if you try to predict, for example, the movement of three bodies mathematically. Compared to a less sophisticated model of predicting the movement of two bodies, the three-body solution creates a fractal shape. Each time, the finite shape looks similar, but at close inspection, no path is closed. Each is different and diverges easily when even a small change is applied. Every graph is at a stage of a different story, uncanny at first sight. But all graphs eventually form a more familiar shape.
