Our Plakaton 2024 initiative has attracted exciting media attention, allowing us to discuss its mission to use poster design to address climate change. We started with Radio Kraków Kultura, followed by a feature on Polskie Radio Czwórka, and further interviews on Śniadanie Mistrzów on RMF Classic, Makakofonia on Antyradio and Cząstki Elementarne on Radio Jazz Kultura and many more.
During our media appearances, we had the opportunity to highlight this year’s core mission of Plakaton: to use the power of design to inspire action on global challenges. In addition to fostering creativity, Plakaton aims to unite a diverse community of designers and artists, encouraging collaboration and mentorship. Through a dynamic competition, participants create thought-provoking visual content that not only raises awareness but also inspires concrete action. By engaging with experts and showcasing work at international platforms such as the Carbon Footprint Summit, Plakaton reinforces the role of design in driving social change.
What is Plakaton?
Plakaton is a unique poster design marathon initiated by Admind, first launched in 2019. It brings together designers, artists, and creatives to collaborate and create powerful visual messages. This year’s theme is CHANGES, focusing on climate action. Participants can work alongside industry experts and present their work at the Carbon Footprint Summit in Kraków. The winning designs will also be exhibited outdoors, further spreading the call to action.
Each media appearance has allowed us to explore the power of design in addressing the most pressing issue of our time: climate change.
