Plakaton 2024, our poster design marathon, has officially ended, and what an inspiring journey it has been! Hosted by Admind as part of the Carbon Footprint Summit, this year’s edition focused on one of the most pressing issues of our time – climate change. The event brought together designers, artists and creative minds from across Poland, united by a joint mission to harness the power of visual communication for meaningful climate action.
An overwhelming response from all over Poland
We have been overwhelmed by the response to Plakaton 2024. With applications pouring in from all corners of the country, the selection process was challenging, but in the end, 38 passionate participants were chosen. They came from cities as diverse as Gdańsk, Szczecin, Rzeszów, Wrocław, Warsaw and Kraków, ready to put their talent, creativity and determination to the test.
The challenge? To create a poster that not only makes a bold artistic statement but also addresses the critical issue of climate change. And to do it all in a 10-hour marathon session, surrounded by like-minded people in a vibrant, creative atmosphere.

A day of creative energy
On 5 October, our Krakow office buzzed with creative energy as participants immersed themselves in a 10-hour design marathon led by five distinguished mentors: Agnieszka Ziemiszewska, Marta Szmyd, Maks “Plakiat” Bereski, Kuba Sowiński and Jacek Rudzki. These renowned experts brought their extensive experience and unique perspectives, providing invaluable feedback and inspiration throughout the day.

Under their guidance, the participants pushed their creative boundaries, experimenting with bold ideas and transforming their visions into powerful visual messages. The marathon culminated in a diverse array of posters that not only showcased exceptional artistic talent but also conveyed a deep commitment to environmental advocacy. Each design reflected the urgent need for climate action and captured the essence of this year’s theme: Change.
The big night: Awards ceremony and exhibition at the Carbon Footprint Summit
The excitement continued on October 7th at the Carbon Footprint Summit at ICE Kraków, where the Plakaton 2024 Awards Ceremony and exhibition took place. The event was a true celebration of creativity and climate activism, with participants and visitors marvelling at the compelling work on display.
After much deliberation, the jury awarded Dominika Federowicz the Grand Prize for her outstanding design. Four other special mentions were awarded to Jagoda Trębacz, Ania Milczanowska, Jakub Russak, and Mateusz Rydz for their exceptional contributions.

Thanks to our partner Mellow Printing, all the posters were printed at lightning speed and featured prominently in the congress exhibition. The winning poster will also be displayed on outdoor AMS stands throughout Poland, making a powerful public statement about the urgent need to tackle climate change.
A big shout-out to Rafał Rudzki from Żabka Group and Karolina Goźlińska from AMS for joining our jury and bringing their fantastic expertise to this year’s event.
The power of design for change
Plakaton 2024 was not just about artistic expression – it was about using design to inspire change. The event highlighted the role of creativity in shaping public conversations about climate change and provided a platform for designers to make their voices heard in this crucial global discussion.
The positive feedback from Summit participants and the wider design community has been overwhelming. We’re proud to have provided a space for these talented individuals to push their boundaries and create work that can make a real difference. Their dedication and willingness to step out of their comfort zones and work to tight deadlines and in unfamiliar environments is commendable.
In addition, all the posters created during Plakaton 2024 are now available for purchase in an online auction on Artinfo.pl: Artinfo.pl – portal rynku sztuki. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to a local non-governmental organisation, Towarzystwo na Rzecz Ochrony Przyrody, to support their vital work in protecting the environment. This initiative ensures that the impact of these designs extends beyond the event and directly benefits efforts to protect nature and combat climate change.
