The most anticipated event of the year for Adminders returned with our annual Admind Collaboration Week. More than 100 people from 12 different nationalities working in one office in Krakow, 20 workshops and 7 days of pure joy – this is how you can characterise our integration in a nutshell.
Held in Krakow from 29 August to 4 September 2022, it was an amazing time for staff. We came together in one location to work, played and fostered stronger relations while putting our Admind brand values into practice. It was also a very nice change from the meetings that usually take place in digital space. ‘Wow, you’re tall! I can’t see it through the screen’ – that’s just one of the frequent phrases that could be heard within our walls.
During the weekdays, we had various activities and workshops centered around this year’s theme – Conscious Design. From Sustainability & Design Awareness training to Conscious Design Manifesto workshops and more, attendees were able to explore and gain new knowledge in this area. With over 100 staff working, sharing ideas and experiences, the atmosphere was buzzing, brimming with creativity and inspiration ran high. One of the ideal ways to inspire each other was the Project Fairs which included 15 presentations by several employees in one day!
After work, everyone was welcome to unwind by attending the summer integration, film screenings, and museum and city tours. For people from other destinations, it was a great opportunity to explore Krakow.
Forging bonds through teamwork
Needless to say, the major highlight of the entire week was the Admind Camp, a weekend integration trip! For a start, everyone received an eye-catching goodie bag and T-shirt exclusively designed by one of our talented designers.
We headed to Morsko on Friday afternoon and, without beating around the bush, got the party started already on the bus! At the place, everyone feasted on BBQ dinner that evening in the quaint outdoors, danced and sang till dawn by the campfire. And all this in the company of nature, rocks typical of the region and castle ruins.
The following day, Adminders could choose to participate in either a Field Game of “Scout” in the wilderness. Participants received GPS transmitters to search for marked checkpoints and had to complete First Aid tasks. They also tested their archery skills and took part in Mini Strong Men which saw a healthy rivalry and solid teamwork between teams.
Fortress adventure
For those who appreciate medieval architecture, they were transported back to the era of knights at the nearby Ogrodzieniec Castle – where the hugely popular Netflix series The Witcher was filmed! It was truly fascinating and surreal to hear about the rich and turbulent history of the castle. Considered one of the largest strongholds of the Krakow-Czestochowa Upland, it was a majestic sight to behold as it was built with natural sea rock formations from the region.
Rejoice together
Later that afternoon, some of us tickled our taste buds during a Craft Beer Tasting which was accompanied by a short quiz with a prize in the form of exquisite craft beer from a Polish brewery.
Then, despite being slightly tired from the previous activities, we played football and volleyball. Probably no one will be surprised that the football match between Polish Adminders and employees from the rest of the world ended in a high victory for the latter.
To kick off the Saturday night festivities, our CEO, Mateusz Zabierowski honoured our colleagues who celebrated their 5 Year Anniversary with Admind and surprised each of them with gift vouchers.
Despite the long yet fun-filled day, most of us were in high spirits. That’s why when the DJ played the first tunes, there were quite a few people dancing on the dance floor straight away. After all, there could be no party at the end of the day. What’s next? I won’t tell! What’s at the party, stays at the party!
