As part of our ongoing partnership with ABB, Admind had the privilege of creating an animation to commemorate ABB Robotics’ 50th anniversary, aimed specifically at a B2B audience. This milestone project was designed to connect with business partners, industry stakeholders, and clients, illustrating ABB Robotics’ transformative journey over the decades. This undertaking presented a unique challenge: blending historical footage with cutting-edge 3D technology to produce an engaging experience tailored to professional audiences.
Our goal was to develop a 3D animation that showcases the evolution of ABB’s robotics technology, from its origins to its most recent industry-shaping advances. ABB provided various historical materials, including lower-resolution images and early video footage. These elements required careful restoration and seamless integration to align with the sophisticated B2B messaging and narrative. Thanks to the expertise of our animation team, we transformed these archival materials into a dynamic story that communicates ABB’s leadership and vision.
To maximize production efficiency, we incorporated AI at several key stages. In the scripting phase, ChatGPT helped refine historical narratives, which were then polished based on client feedback. Midjourney was used in the visualization phase to create mood boards and storyboards, giving the client a chance to preview concepts tailored to B2B audiences. This approach enabled efficient approvals and heightened client engagement throughout the process.
For animation production, we chose Unreal Engine’s real-time rendering—a decision that significantly accelerated feedback cycles and boosted visual impact. Each 3D-rendered frame, which would traditionally require hours, was available for client review almost instantly. This facilitated rapid feedback and collaborative adjustments to enhance storytelling and scene composition, highlighting ABB’s achievements with precision and impact.
The final animation effectively communicated ABB Robotics’ 50-year legacy to a B2B audience, focusing on key milestones and ABB’s ongoing commitment to innovation. By combining archival footage with high-end 3D visuals, we crafted a compelling narrative that resonated with business clients and stakeholders. This project stands as a testament to the value of our longstanding relationship with ABB and reflects Admind’s commitment to supporting ABB’s brand-building efforts on the global stage.
